JADUI PITARA

The National Education Policy 2020 envisaged play-based learning teaching material especially at the elementary level of learning. In accordance with the policy, Union Minister Shri Dharmendra Pradhan recently launched the “JADUI PITARA”. The main objective is “LEARN THROUGH PLAY

Jadui Pitara is a play-based learning material for children between the age of 3 to 8 years. It is available in 13 different Indian languages. It was developed under the National Curriculum Framework. The material is easy to use and can be downloaded or printed.

It is a set of playbooks, puzzles, flashcards, posters, worksheets, and storybooks. The material intrigues the curiosity of the children. The material focuses on five major developmental activities namely

  • Physical Development
  • Socio-emotional and Ethical Development
  • Cognitive Development
  • Language and Literacy Development
  • Aesthetic and Cultural Development
  • Positive Learning Habits

Significance

The Government of India is in the footsteps of creating AMRIT GENERATION which is the future generation of India. They are patriotic, responsible, and dutiful. They take part in government activities and contribute largely to the welfare of the country. Jadui Pitara the play based teaching material is an initiative India achieve this.

  • Applies to Class 1 & 2 also (age 6-8) - huge shift - children will learn through play, have fun, and FLN will be addressed.
